The Lord Will Care for Judah
Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime;
Trust God with the Rain | Shiree King
Spring rains are rains that come in the time of plowing and planting. Farmers rely on rain to water their crops and make them grow. This verse tells us to be bold to ask God for rain and expect Him to answer through His ability to provide what only He can provide. We cannot make it rain on our own. We need to rely on the Lord to bring the rain and be our Provider.
Normally, I love rain. Rainy days are some of my favorite days. But, this year, rains in our area have been destructive, causing horrible flooding. It has put a damper on my excitement about rain! Rain can be beautiful, but it is also powerful. In the midst of spring, productive rains or destructive, flooding rains, I must remember that God is God. He is powerful, and He will provide, even in the midst of destruction. He wants me to humbly come to Him with my needs and trust His answer.
Dear God, Thank You for bringing the rain. Thank You for inviting us to ask You for it. Thank You for desiring to have a relationship with us. We trust You to be our Provider. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
