Rebuilding | Marianne Toovey
God had to take His people aside and shake them to open their eyes. But their eyes did open, they saw what they had done and turned back to Him. So He will rebuild what was destroyed and restore them to their original glory, with a right relationship with Him.
I very recently had the foundations of my world shaken. And as the walls came tumbling down around me, my eyes were opened to the fact that I had been neglecting my relationship with God. I was doing the bare minimum, and even then it was an afterthought. The moment I realized what I had done, I set to make things right. I made my relationship with Him a priority once again and amazingly, things are falling back into place again. Rebuilding will take a while and it won’t always be easy, but restoration is in the works.
God, I really do hate how far You had to go to get me to see what I was doing. I’m so sorry I wasn’t paying attention. But I know You’re doing it for my own good and that You only want what’s best for me. I trust You to get me through this storm. Thank You for Your restoration and Your reconciliation. Thank You for Your love and mercy. Thank You for grace. I love You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
